The guys at Johnston Auto Salvage were great to work with. They bought my "junk" car and paid more than the other places I got quotes for online like The Junker Clunker and Peddle. They were friendly and the process was very easy. I will definitely come back to them for any future parts needed. Great people to work with!

Like they're local to me and open on Saturdays.
This is the only place I go to take my unwanted scrap. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and service is fast. You never have to wait to get paid

Wasted my time waiting for someone to pull a part, just to find out they didn't have it, after someone went and checked. No inventory control.
Maybe 3 Stars on a good day. This place is a junkyard and not an auto recycling location. Everything in the place is poorly marked as to the vehicles location. When I pointed out to Keith that a few cars weren’t even on the lot, he started arguing. He pulled up cars on his computer that were NOT on the lot proving himself wrong. The prices are okay until they add a warranty and hazardous materials fees without telling you first. Then core charges on parts like a 4wd skid plate. They have core charges on nearly everything. Core charges are meant to be charged to the customer when they are buying something that will be remanufactured. LKQ doesn’t remanufacture anything. Just be upfront and honest about the prices. Raise the prices if need be. Tacking on fees is shady. I don’t need to pay a 90 day warranty charge on a piece of interior trim. Clean up the lot daily and close the vehicles’ doors. That helps with trip hazards. It keeps a lot of water out of the cars too. The Durham location is managed much better.

Now this is what an automobile recycle salvage yard should look like. I’m driving the extra 30 miles to Durham to avoid the Clayton Raleigh LKQ Pick a Part. The spaces on every car are well marked. The yard is pretty dang clean. The staff are all friendly. They even ask which parts you’d like to buy a 90 day warranty on before just slapping the fee on there. Damon helped me at the checkout a few times. He’s a very gregarious young man. He knows a good bit about cars too. It’s refreshing to deal with folks that don’t hate their jobs. I’ll be back for a few items next week. Thanks y’all!
Drove in down a long dirt road. It took a few minutes to find the office. Seemed like everyone was busy, that's a good thing. The Woman showed me where the office is and I asked if she had the vehicle/parts i was looking for. She checked with another guy and he said the parts were already sold. The woman in the office checked and gave me 2 places that had my part and gave me the contact info. She was very helpful. I will go back again, when'if I'm in town.
Rudest people ever. Not just unhelpful and disorganized but downright annoyed that you are attempting to be a customer. No idea what they have-say one thing then waste your time to find out it’s not accurate. They couldn’t care less about any of it. People paying way too much for their overpriced junk parts must be the only way they barely stay in business. Amazingly bad-so bad It’s almost funny.
Great place to sell scrap metal...ill most definitely go back.
